Alice Street Retreat - 1BR Sleeps 4 Street Parking

Positive: The apartment was good for what we needed. Negative: Before we paid for our stay we were advised there would be a security deposit needed of £300/$400. No problem so far. After we paid we had to then check in online, the last request was a mandatory £59 damage waiver charge no mention of security deposit. A significant extra on top of the room charge. Could not cancel as would lose our money. Messaged owner and were told could pay £400 security deposit which would be refunded. Didnt want to take the risk so reluctantly paid the £59 damage waiver via the check in process. If I had known there would be a £59 mandatory waiver before booking, we would not have booked.
